Dear JLR, Your four line poem is a worthy contender in this contest. The only suggestion I would make is to move you're a five syllable lines more to the left and that way your last line will not lap over, and look sort of funny and be lost to the eye on smaller electronic devices.

What a wonderfully powerful truth in so few words. Our written words do affect emotions of others in one way or the other. Hopefully they bring joy and a smile to folks and help them along their way.

I always hope that my poetry will resonate with someone, perhaps make them smile. I write because it brings me joy, and if I can lighten someone else's life in the process, so much the better. Thank you for this truthful poem. :)
