Sandra you know how much I'm enjoying your book. I wasn't expecting this twist. Apparently neither was Tania. Thank God Monica knows that Colin can't be trusted. Anyone else may have not been concerned until tomorrow that she was missing. Anxious for the next chapter!
Have a lovely week!

Thank you so very much for the golden star, Sally, and this lovely review. Monica has never liked, or trusted, Colin, so she knows he has some thing to do with Tania's disappearance. Now to prove it. I'm really pleased you are enjoying my story, it's so encouraging to know that. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Hello Sandra.
Colin is a real back alley sort. I like the background that you're giving about this guy and how he is really quite a sleazy character.
It's fascinating that Colin called her a liar while he's trying to steal her work. That is the height of bad character.
In addition to being a good friend, Monica is quite a detective. This chapter reveals the character and vulnerability of Anna. It also shows great loyalty by her friend Monica.
Good chapter.

I'm glad you agree, Robert. Colin is not a nice person! Thank you so very much for this lovely review. You will learn more about Monica in the couple of parts. She's quite a character. I'm so pleased you are enjoying my story, my friend. Thank you! Warm hugs. Sandra xxx

Well, I didn't see that coming! He really is a nasty piece of work, isn't he. Mind you, with a witness in the restaurant, a bloodstained shoe and a best friend like Monica hot on his trail, he seems unlikely he'll get far.

Yes, Colin isn't the type of person I'd like to meet. Thank you so much for this lovely review, Tony, and for all the stars. Monica will try her best to find Tania. As you say, she has some clues but how good they'll be, only time will tell. Thanks again, my friend. Warm hugs. Sandra xx

-This is an excellent chapter, Sandra,
and I didn't think Colin would sink so low.
-You describe the opening scene very well
as he struggles to get Tania in the car.
-Even though she was unconscious, I am
glad she was still difficult for him to get
to the car.
-You created a very good villain; before he was
just a cheat and a nobody. Now he has "elevated
his game" and is eventually going to pay for it!
-Kudos to Monica; she makes a great detective,
and her instincts are spot on.
-All of the things she did were the right ones
to do, realizing the laptop was missing, in
addition to hearing what the waiters said.
-The coup d' grace was when she stumbled
on Tania's shoe, and put the pieces together!
-Well done! Now we wait to see what happens next!

Thank you so very much, Pam, for this amazing review. I'm delighted you enjoyed it. Colin has dug himself into a hole now and there is only one way out. Monica, I do like her character and I know you will too. Thank you for those lovely stars, my friend. That was so kind of you. Sending you a warm hug! Have a lovely day! :)) Sandra xxxx

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Sandra. Monica is a very good character, and seems like she is broadening her horizons, becoming quite the detective. Maybe another spin-off in the future?!

Well! I never saw that coming, Sandra. I always suspect the one who the protagonist most hates to end up being the one she loves. But I should have known you weren't going to make it that easy for me. But to drug her and drag her out of the restaurant. Totally, I am left without a clue!

That's good!! LOL. I do like to surprise my readers. Thank you so very much for the six stars, Jay, it was such a lovely surprise to wake up to. Your review, also, put a big smile on my face. Thank you, my friend. Warm hugs. :)) Sandra xxx

Exciting chapter, Sandra. I never thought Colin would go so far. His unscrupulous villainous ways set him up as a good alter ego for Grant.
Luckily Tania has her friend Monica to sound the alarm. I hadn't realized she was Tania's foster sister until I read your notes.
You certainly know how to keep your readers hooked.
A small note. Personally I don't think the waiter would imply that there was something wrong with the restaurant food. After all he's an employee talking to a stranger..More likely he would suggest Tania might have had a little too much wine.
Looking forward to the continuation.
Stay safe and blessed

Thank you so much for your lovely review, Julia. I'm delighted you enjoyed this part. I hadn't meant to add the foster sister description until it came out. Lol. No one else seems to have noticed, though. I think I've explained it in the next part.
Your suggestion about the food and the waiter is a valid point, and I'll be removing it. Thank you for that. :)) That's what I love about reviewers, they point out things I miss or get wrong. I really appreciate your review, my friend. Thank you. Have a lovely day. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

Colin is definitely a creep and the way he has planned to go about getting the information he is going to steal is criminal. With Monica's suspicions hopefully, she will be able to save her friend. However, if Tania's recording is still up and running, his fate is sealed. You have a bit of a cliff-hanger going here. Great chapter.

such a good story. A little bit of a mystery which perhaps makes it eveen more intriguing, exciting. What a disgusting fellow....sounds like being a thief is right up his alley. I hope the friend finds Tania!

sandramitchell I was intrigued as I was reading chapter 10 from your book Betrayal, ofColin's plan comes together.
I found so Manny lines that I know add a lot to your Novel--
example when he was unrolling the deviate paperhe rolled it out on the table. His breath caught as he realized what he'd found.
You lying little bitch! You didn't print them off, huh? He stared at the plans in front of him. He could see at a glance these were the ones he wanted. You should have known better than try to fool me. His face creased into an evil grin. Let's see what you have to say for yourself.

Oh no!! I hope Monica calls the police immediately!! It's obvious that Colin stole her laptop. I was hoping that Monica would have followed her. What about the recording of their conversation?

Tania is in a spot of bother, and Monica is worried sick. But they are two tough women, but are they tough enough? Thank you so much, Helen, for this really lovely review, I really appreciated it. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

I was hoping the restaurant/shops would have CCTV cameras capturing everything. Poor Tania - now I'll have to wait until next week to see if she's alright!
