Thank you for this. I am praying now for Portia and her family. Many are suffering so and it has been a difficult year for countless FS members and their family members. I know it has for me. Knowing and walking closely with the Lord makes all the difference. Portia loves the Lord and I know He has her in His care.

Sorry for your friend and family hopefully they are recovering.
Your prayer for a friend reminds the reader not to despair even if it appears that prays have not received a response.

This appropriate peppered pickle highlights a problem that I have experienced before on FanStory. A friend thousands of miles away 'disappears' and we are left wondering what has become of them. It is even more worrying when we know there are existing conditions. There is no fault involved. It seems to be a sad inevitability that in some cases this will happen.

It also doesn't help that so many of us are older and with age comes health complications. I didn't know Dean or Michael were sick and they just left us so suddenly. Some writers come and disappear somewhat regularly. Thanks for your understanding comments, Jim!

Startling use of a pickle! I don't recall seeing one of his genre--no reason why not. Fresh and powerful--don't let faith wane though answer's mute--star-worthy in itself.
