-Very nice image, Helen.
-A well written couplet with
a good topic and imagery.
-I like the first line with
the alliteration and the idea
of perspective and the link
to your title.
-The words will reach to
"God's list'ning heart."
-Very well done.

Thank you so much for the lovely review, Pam! Hugs!

You are very welcome, Helen. I thought you'd like to know my friend really liked the cat's responses. She had a female cat for a long time, and then it passed on. Bennett is her adult son's cat. Her son is living with her for the time being. He is a Maine Coon cat, and will be huge!

Thanks for sharing! Maine Coons are wonderful pets. We welcome more questions if you have them. 💗💕

You are very welcome. I will think of some more questions. I have one in the back of my mind:)

A very well-written follow up 7-7 after the previous 5-7-5 in the Renga collection in the multi-author book. The height of the mountain seems closer to God than where we are in the valley below.

I think this is a lovely 7-7 addition to that renga composition. Nice 'p' alliteration in perfect prayer perspective. Stunning photo choice. Nice job tying it in to the ongoing prayer theme. Once in a while we all need a reminder of what prayer can help accomplish.

Comment from Gloria ....
And what a fine entry this is into Gypsy's Renga book. Mountain tops always seem like the place closest to God, even though the actually place is from the heart, I do appreciate your allusion.
As always a fine read from your quill today, Helen. :)

Thank you so much, Gloria. I was about to change the whole thing but your gracious review makes me feel like I should keep it as is. I changed "listening" to "list'ning" - using syncope to show how I pronounce it. I always remember Petrarch's writing about how perspectives changed on the mountaintop. Appreciate you! Hugs!!

A great follow up to Gypsy's Renga book. It's been very interesting to see how her creation is developing with each contribution. Lovely sentiments.

Thank you so much, June, for reviewing! I love how our works then spawn other poems - it's a wonderfully creative exercise. Hope you have a lovely weekend!

This could be a stand alone poem with its spiritual meaning. Great use of alliteration in line one with the powerful plosive P. :-) I like the reference to God's listening heart.

Thanks so much - it came out of reading Gypsy's poem. I hope you'll join in the fun and add yours. It alternates 5-7-5 and 7-7 poems. If someone is inspired by reading one, she/he adds the next chapter.
Hugs!

Dear Helen, I am happy to see this Renga has passed its first season, If all the new additions are as special as yours, this Renga will be something we will all want to keep forever.

Fresh perspective indeed--and in fine alliteration! Lovely, elegant, and uplifting. What the heck-- I'll take a shot at a follow-up! Wish me luck. Cheers. LIZ

I'm so glad that you added yours, Liz! Thanks for reviewing and hope we can all contribute and see where this communal poetry writing goes! Hugs!

Cool! I got two lovely reviews--one yours! I welcome the kind words of encouragement -- as I was reviewing yours it occurred to me to stretch myself-- but before I registered the review I worked out my verse-- didn't want to make a promise and fall flat.

You did great!
