Well, damn, sis. YOu beat me in this one, too! A LITTLE sibling ribalry is fine, but COME ON! lol
Man, this is so beautiful. It gave me chills as I read. I don't now where you got your inspiration, but that's what you need to bottle and sell!
If I were the contest committee, you'd have it. Best I've read so far, including mine. lol

Thank you for the read and review. I don't think it is
quite as good as you seem to think, but thank you all the same.

My favorite part was, "Dark clouds roll across the night sky
All the birds fly
Silence crumbles
Thunder rumbles
Eagles soar then head for their nests
on highest crests.
Safe in God's palm
waiting the calm.", because of the imagery you used I could envision all this in my mind!
The Lord led me to this verse after I read this,
Matthew 6:26
New International Version
26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Thank you so much for your kind review! And I'm glad I could paint the picture so clearly for you. Thank you for sharing the Bible verse with me this evening as well. I am struggling in my life right now, so maybe you were meant not only to read my work, but share the verse. Again - thank you.

You used some very nice imagery in this poem, I enjoyed reading it. I particularly like the beginning and ending paragraphs, they are very poignant. I don't have any suggestions to make it better, it's very good as is. Thanks for sharing this

Wow, Iza! Thank you for the 6 stars. Those 2 lines actually came to me before the middle stanza did and I built the piece to go with them. Again - THANK YOU so much!

The rainbow crown earns your stars in itself as does silence crumbles thunder rumbles--this is elegant and lovely--fine rhyme--good luck in the contest. Cheers. LIZ
