This is a great poem showing us that they do not want to harm us if we will leave them alone. They have their work to do, and it is to our best interest to let them get on with it. Good luck in the contest.

a really good strong and powerful piece of poetry telling a story which is the message which must be heard as this kind of devastation does not seem to live in the hearts and minds of most people on a daily basis and your line/words about adding that to the list of fears seems to go over most peoples heads when we for the most part get all our priorities wrong and only be concerned about the things that are right in our face this is a good poem well done have a smiley day good luck in the contest

It is amazing how much we rely upon the hardworking little bees to keep our gardens and our lives healthy. Nicely described in free verse, cheers

A very well-written poem about the bees that play a very important role in our echo system that ensure the pollination if food sources for animals and humans. Without bees our survival cannot be guaranteed.

Bees, Please!
Hello my friend
I didn't know that without bees we would not survive. Your poem is an excellent entry for the The Bee writing prompt contest.

Hello mystery writer. You have certainly hit upon a topic I have considered for some time. The neighbor behind me has 2 hives in his yard. The sentiment of your poem is appreciated. They truly are essential to life on the planet.
Good luck in the contest.

Thank you so much for the review. I'm glad you appreciated what I wrote. I guess their extinction is just one of many thingsthat could do us in.

This is a good rhythmic informational poem, fun to read and with a good beat, with lots of flair. A wonderful close up picture says it all! Buona Fortuna in the contest. giovanni

What a fine tribute to bees! It is both well-crafted and informative. I think it will appeal to all-aged readers since it describes so clearly WHY we need to be bees' stewards. However, I am not sure the last stanza is needed. Rod

Thank you Rod. I do appreciate the comments and the review. The last one is a little off but the one before didn't feel like an ending. Maybe I'll delete it.

Another option is compressing it into a couplet, emphasizing your theme.

Sheer mind candy!
Your title, splendid picture choice, neat/balanced presentation, unique 9/7/9/7 count free-flowing lines, a-b-c-b rhyme-scheme, and envy-worthy syntax all serve to create a masterful poetic work of vivid imagery and interest that grips and holds onto even the most accomplished poetess' and poet's attention and imagination in such ways that sighs succeed virtually every line and verse ... ummm!
Such a beautiful, deeply caring message, too. : )
If this doesn't win, the judges need a brain transplant ... LOL!
Do I love it? Whatta ya think(?) ... wink* ~ Richard

This bee poem, Bees Please, has a nice rhyme and points out the value of bees to our existence here on Earth. They are a link in the chain we must preserve.
