Hi, fellow Canadian. I'm a widow well past my 80's and I live alone in a bungalow. For 3 weeks now I have stayed in my house 24/7. I have sons who phone and shop for me, leaving groceries on the front porch. It is quite monotonous yet rather calming, just isolating myself from the world.
I really don't feel at risk, but I know I am. I'll start taking short walks as the weather improves. Praying is a must.
I enjoyed your essay on how you are coping and I am looking forward to your future writing. Bless you, my friend.

I think this is the best time to write, and meditate. If we panic we will have all the symptoms in the world. Please stay save, God is taking care of us.

I love this! It is absolutely how it is affecting many whether they voice it or not! It is definitely a quiet panic when you see no toilet paper on the shelves, but pickles are stocked to the ceiling. Yet no one is running around like chicken with their heads cut off, but the hoarding shows that they are indeed in their minds running around like a chicken with its head cut off. thanks for sharing this! xoxo

I felt your fear here because I too am full of fear and we don't know how it is going to last, it is all up to the virus and if it learns to calm down and live with us without killing us! This of course takes time and we are in for the long haul. Those Corona beers were selling in the shops in England for half price! They will have to rebrand their beers from now on! Keep safe and I enjoyed your post Iza, love Dolly x

I think it's a great idea. It's interesting to see how we go through all these swings from despair and fear to hope, turning to religion as everything else in our world crumbles and the uncertainty grips us. We all hate uncertainty. I think you did a good job of articulating the emotions with lots of detail in how your routine is upended, how you turn on the news to satisfy curiosity, and then it overwhelms you and your husband drinks chocolate and you open your bible. Read Revelations 9. estory

Wonderful that your reading from the Word changed your perspective and gave you all you needed to calm your anxious heart and to sleep! Hope you're having a good day! Everything is locked down here, too.

You are tackling this problem head on and with the right attitude. This is a potential bread winner if released at the right time.

There is humor in every bad situation. You just have to find it, embellish it if needed, and make it your own. You've got a good start already!

Iza,

I think it's a very cool idea to begin to record these events (insert 'crazy') while they are happening. I don't know if this may become a regular thing in the future but it's a first for now. Chronicling how it makes you feel will be something to look back on later and read with some enthusiasm, I imagine. I have to think it's going to get a lot crazier before it gets better.

Some notes:
1.) Yup, he c(a)me and picked me up from work.

2.) I (felt) like my lungs are running out of air.
--> this piece is tricky with the verb tenses - watch them closely

3.) and I feel like a calling my priest and talking it out, but then
--> delete the 'a' before 'calling'

4.) He is going to save us, calm down, breath(e), you are not alone.

Thanks~

Thank you for writing your story. I think we all feel the same way you do but we've had this in our state for a few weeks. Today is the first day of school closing. I hope it will cease the spread soon.
