Hello Debi,
This is another intriguing chapter in your book.
Interesting dialogue (or monologue!) between Piper and Lynx
contrasting the differences in the two personalities and increasing Piper's uncertainty and the readers.
Elf or human, or fae?
And what of Piper's grandfather? The musically gifted one?
There seems to be more to discover.
But this chapter will keep readers turning the pages.
Well done
Robert

Hi Robert,
Thank you for the continued support. Yes, Lynx could carry on his own monologue. I like your questions and they will have answers--eventually.
Sorry for the delayed response. Life's been crazy lately.

I am anxious for piper to meet his mother. He has been told he has siblings and has met one of them. Lynx is his ten year old brother. He is getting introduced to the Fair Folk
little by little. Burkehart is desperately trying to find him but has failed so far. Maybe he will hear piper playing for the Elves. Good job, Debi. Nancy:)

I think I'd be happy for Piper to have found his family but he is understandably unsure about the truth of all this. But this time you take us into the mind of Redd-Leif so we feel comfortable that everything is true. Good characterization especially of Lynx here.

I remember your book. I used to follow it when I was on this site before. It's like stumbling on an old friend. I see Piper has been found and has discovered a fae family. I look forward to reading more.
Great story, my friend,
Rhonda

I am out of sixes. I sure like the characters' names, still. Here is one of my favorite paragraphs for the sake of characterization: Redd-Leif smiled. "When he is excited he can't seem to contain himself, much like the lynx he is named for. Those cats can make a real racket when they want to. And just like a lynx, the one time he is quiet is when he is on the hunt." Redd-Leif chuckled and raised an eyebrow. "You really need to watch out for him then."
I love how you describe the music Piper is playing. I love the idea of having a musical apprentice as a principal character. This is developing so well. Have no clue whatsoever on what could be improved in this chapter.

Piper finally gets a chance to showcase his music and apparently is doing a fantastic job because the pixies are dancing to his tunes. Thanks for sharing and good luck with the next chapter.

It has been a few chapters since Piper played some music, hasn't it? I am happy to hear you liked this chapter. Thank you so much for stopping in to read and review.

The story continues to flow smoothly. I'm sure there are surprises to come, but the chapter ends on a happy note as everyone dances to Piper's flute.
I loved the device of using Lynx's artless chatter to describe the characters including Piper.
You are a fine storyteller.

Debi,
Another super chapter. I am always quite amazed at how you fantasy folks can conjure up these whole worlds and populate them so well. ha It sounds a bit exhausting...
I really enjoyed this post. It really let us in on some of the thoughts and emotions of the characters - helping us 'see' them on a deeper level. Very nice!
