Excuse the pun, but what a haunting poem...

I've long believed many a restless spirit roams, pondering what happened and where they go from here.

I've experienced a few 'Jenny" moments myself ~ some in dreams, some I wish were dreams!

Your story is so well told, here, Willie. The photo caught on my heartsrings and wouldn't let go.

I am forced to contemplate the sacrifices made by the brave souls who ventured West in pursuit of the fulfillment of their dreams, their American dreams. Those of us today owe much to the ones who sacrificed all, and paved the way for us.

This was quite sad, as well as beautiful. The loss of a child has to be the worst loss imaginable. I would imagine it is confusing to a small child when they die. You really did a great job, here.

That's a great story, Willie. You are very convincing in your telling it. Is this a true story? The spirit world is very interesting and very real. Hopefully, Jenny is at peace.

A thoughtful, sad, and reflective poem, and almost haunting as she tells her story about those times. It was a strange glimpse into the past for the person who saw her.

Suggestions: I think you need "and was wearing ..." in line 4, and perhaps line 12 would be better with "for just a few minutes" (not sure why you used "if"), and "And in a flash" (no capital needed for In")

It feels very like it to me that you have just had a visitation from a nearby ghost, that of the young child. Your narrative poem is engaging and believable. Settling the West was fraught with danger.

There's nothing like dealing with the ghost of a child, presumably seeking after peace from an age long past, seeking solace. Of course there's innocent children of today being killed in their innocence, beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

An interesting story but I need to ask where did that come from? It isn't close to anything I recall you penning previously. Am I wrong?
It was good.

This is a beautiful yet haunting tale of little Jenny McGee. I like how she visited you in a dream to tell her story. Beautifully written and a lovely presentation., Willie. Cheers
