You brought tears to my eyes, Pam. I just dropped in for a moment and saw your tribute to Brooke. It is lovely. I like they way you incorporated her work in the piece.

I will miss her. Brooke was a force on the site. When I started on FS I think she reviewed every poem and story posted, no matter the subject. She was amazing, and I truly valued her critiques and advice, as well as taking a few of her classes.

Well done.

Another wonderful tribute to a friend to all who knew her on FanStory, I regret that I did not, however, I am so impressed at the coming together of people to celebrate her life. I know I wouldn't be missed to anywhere near this extent, which speaks volumes about the woman she was.

Your opening line.... "Goodness shines today through twilight's shadows." is wonderful and the highlight of the whole piece for me. It states plainly and sadly
that the dark (twilight) is coming but her goodness shines bright. Wonderful.

What a beautiful tribute to Brooke you have provided here. She was indeed an exceptional poet and a great friend to many on FanStory.
I joined in 2010 and learned so much from her. I was sad when she had to leave this site.
Thank you for sharing this very touching piece.

This was a very sweet poem Pam. Loved the imagery that you put in the very beginning of this piece where you talked about" Goodness shining through twilights shadows." Glad that you were able to eulogize your friend through this fantastic piece of poetry. Well done.

Hi Pam, this is a wonderful tribute to Brooke. I like how you include one of her poems, a Whitney. And then you enclose one of your own. They are both lovely poems and a joy to read. Yes, Brooke's father was a clever man to let nature take its course. Warm regards. Ulla:)))

Hi Pam, A delightful tribute to Brooke and I can see the love for her in so many posts. Brooke was not active when I joined so never got to know her but she obviously had a huge impact on many. You do her justice in this lovely post. Cheers Christine

This is a lovely tribute to Brooke, Pam :) I'm glad to see you quote Robyn and share Brooke's Whitney poem. Your own Whitney poem gives it all a lovely finishing touch. We all bond throuh our poetry, and we keep Brooke's poetry alive together.

I'm under the weather and you lifted my spirits substantially just now. Thanks for that.

Joy xx

Thank you for the exceptional rating and review, Joy. I am so glad you stopped by, as I knew you would like the Whitney's. It was because of you that I knew about them in her portfolio and had actually copied two quite a while ago. It was nice to have her notes about the dandelions, too.

I am glad you appreciated the use of Robyn's quote. Her poem touched me, too, as did so many. We do all bond through poetry. I am glad that your spirits were lifted; that is what we do, too, try to look out for anyone a bit under the weather, etc.

Thank you Pam for including an iconic Adewpearl Brooke poem...where breezes do the seeding..I hope she is where breezes blow her beautiful dandelions and buttercups. She was child like in her elevation of little things others bypass
Thank you and God bless for this
