Oh, I'm so glad Logan's in the pic to help ... Mack just needs to quit being a silly woman and let him help! :) Difficult, I know, for an independent lady...:) :) Thanx for sharing this installment...look forward to the next! :) :) Yvette

Realistic conversation and a good description of someone coming out of a drug overdose. This is a cleverly constructed chapter that moves the action along nicely. I like the way McKenzie and Logan interact in this. It seems like a good basis for a growing relationship between the two of them.

I really enjoyed this part, Barbara. I think he'll accept her apology, don't you? :)) I wonder if it was just a gang rape drug, or if there was something even more sinister in this. Not that gang rape isn't horrific enough, but were they employed to drug her for other reasons? I will have to wait and let you tell me. :) Well done, my friend, this is going to be another excellent story. :)) Sandra xx

Hi, Barbara,
A great chapter which shows us Mac's humility and eventual acceptance of Logan's help. Hopefully, she will come to trust him so they can work together to solve this-- two heads are always better than one.
A nit:
'She bent over to try, but closed her eyes. "I'm dizzy." There is no need for a comma here in this compound predicate.
Thank you for sharing, and I look forward to the next chapter,

This was a good installment, Barbara. I'm sensing some good chemistry between McKenzie and Logan. I think they make a good team. Nice job and I can't wait for the next one.

Wow! Whatever Mac was given must have been awfully powerful. Even on the next day, she's still feeling groggy and probably unable to drive. I'll certainly will be curious to know what the lab results show. She has a pretty good idea of what the guy in the bar looked like, so that should be a place to begin. She could be in more trouble that involves something besides the case. Logan has been really nice to Mac, and at last she acknowledges it. Excellent work. judi

It didn't take them long to become super friendly, but given the circumstances, it makes sense. Good way to move the plot along!
I don't know what you have planned, but I recall in your last few novels the romantic couple could not get together for one reason or another till the very end. I don't think you want to use the same plot again, and perhaps you don't plan to. But just in case you're tempted, I suggest they get involved early or in the middle, and then split up for some reason, probably a misunderstanding, and at last get back together. :)

Hi Barb,
You amazed me with another well written chapter of how Logan keeps asking
McKenzie to describe the man who dozed her water that made her pass out.
So us reviewers are waiting for two thing 1. results of the blood test
2. any lead to who put the drug into
McKenzie water.

The answer to the blood test will show up long before the man who did it. Thank you for the kind review.
