Your Woes of Homonyms verse is a good entry for the contest.
You've certainly displayed what Homonyms are and the confusion they can cause.
Well done and good luck with the contest.

You had fun with this and it is great fun to read. Your poems show originality and humor. I'm not sure about whir/were and watt/what. That's a close call. I considered this contest, and couldn't think how to begin.

There are not many homonyms you did not use inthis contest entry. The poor poet was interrupted by a four-legged guest that ultimately became her dinner. Amusing use of the wrong words.

Rachelle, this is delightfully fun and so cute to read. I really enjoyed going along and figuring out the words you meant (phonetically written... well done). Great job and good luck.

Hi Rachelle :)
I enjoyed this a lot!
A very clever write that tickled my funny bone!
I especially enjoyed the ending... very satisfying, as per the stew!
Good luck in the voting booth :)
Best wishes, Debra

This is great fun. Excellent work, and you brought in so many homonyms. Great job with the rhyme, too. Okay, you can stop with the homonyms after you've written your poem! Best of luck in the contest, and let me no if you've one. This should do great in the contest. judi

That was the problem! After I finished, I could NOT stop conjuring them up with every word I wrote. I finally had to step away from the computer and just play piano until I felt better!!

This is a clever, creative and fun poem for the homonym contest complete with a story. I think you met the requirement of the contest and then some.
Well done.
Blessings

This made me smile, I loved the spelling of the words with mixed up meanings, very unusual and he sentiment of humour which was most unexpected at the end! A gem of a write, love Dolly x

Hi, Rachelle. LOL I love the way you handled these words, my friend. Quite frankly, I have never heard of such a poetry form before. Honestly.
"Then the next thing that Aye gnu,
Eye could here hymn shout, "Yew who!"
Good luck in the contest, my friend. Bob

Thank ewe, Bob! Eye yam happy to here this.
I'd never heard of this form of poetry, either...and quite honestly, I hope I never do again because it sent me over the edge for the remainder of the night after I'd submitted it. Every last word I wrote, I re-imagined in my head as a homonym. I finally just had to get away from the computer and play piano! Oy!!

Amen. I understand. :) Bob

LOL. This was a delight. I can picture that scene you paint with your (silly) words, and what words they are! If ever I need an example of homonyms, I couldn't go wrong with your fun poem. Good luck in the contest!
