This is definitely a decisively different take on the 5-7-5 flower prompt, Anonymous Poet.
While the majority of the ones I've read so far deal with just one type of flower, yours incorporated a cute little child and a crown of roses into the mix.
She had better watch those thorns, however.
There was another famous person in human history who wore a crown of thorns as well, I think.
H-m-m-mmm... I can't quite place him--a carpenter, I believe.
Oh well, I'll remember eventually, I'm sure.
Best of luck to you in the contest.

Thanks for your review and comments, Dean. No thorns in the little girl's head...would make for a tragic wedding. I appreciate your feedback.

You have made effective use of every syllable in this sweet 5-7-5. Even
without the artwork, which is really lovely, I could visual a little "princess"
with flowers in her hair.

What an angel. Such a sweet 5-7-5 for a little darling. You chose so well for your verse. These short gems are a real challenge, but this is one great success. It is unique among the other poems for this contest.

Hello Mystery Poet,
I enjoyed reading your 5-7-5 poem today. The flowers look lovely and match the girl's clothes in the picture. You have all the correct syllables in each line, and describe the scene well. I would have liked to see a bit of an aha moment or moment of enlightenment. Just to make this post stand out a bit more from the ordinary. However, it isn't required, so you are fine as is.
Best wishes in the voting booths.

Excellent vision depicted in verse and its accompanying illustration. Most little girls in my mind (I have two granddaughters and one daughter) are princesses and they do like to dress up.
Your crowned one is precious.
Good luck in this entry.
