And this definitely stands out as a bright moment. I love the contrast against the dark wetness. Good job and good luck in the contest. Blessings, Barbara

I don't understand why it is called a one line poem, Melissa? A one line saying would be better written. Still, your saying hits the mark, not everybody appreciates bright moments on ho-hum days. This is a good entry for the One Line. Thank you for sharing the moment with us. :)

A very unique way to illustrate the importance of counting our blessings - holding onto the smallest moments that brighten our day. Love the artwork. Well done.

Hi Melissa,
This one line poetry stuff is completely foreign to me. I have no idea how to approach it. YOU, however, have done a fine job. I love the picture and message combination. It makes sense to me and even brought an ahhhhh moment for me. This is a terrific contest entry, in my humble opinion. You inspire me to maybe down the road try one? Best wishes in the contest.

Hey, Joy. I am glad you liked my one liner.... I saw that red umbrella and thought it was a gift/lift of color against a dull background. You can find bright spots in a lot of places. I know you are a talented writer and this will not be to hard for you. Just make a point and pare it down to the minimum... All the best,
Melissa

How neat that your that picture with the red umbrella to contrast with the gray day. An excellent thing to notice something that will brighten a dull day. it doesn't have to be anything especially significant, but something that has meaning for you. Great one-line entry. I wonder if "Appreciate" might give you a more positive statement than "appreciating." Just a thought. judi

Great one-liner that is perfectly illustrated by that picture! Did the picture come first? It could be an ekphrastic poem. Yes, we need to give thanks for those bright moments!!

Love, love love this!!!! The picture could not be any more perfect! We, as imperfect people, sometimes let the dull get us down. There is beauty in all things and lessons to be learned that make us better and stronger.

Your one-line piece effectively declares one of the keys to
happiness and satisfaction. It's easy to find something to smile
about when weather and life are as we wish. We must be able
to find the bright spoton a dreary day.

What an awesome picture! I love how bright the red umbrella looks on the black and white rainy day photo. It is important to find the silver lining in the clouds so to speak. Thanks for sharing this insight with us. : )
