There is a warm feeling in your words and how wonderful your friend reunited with her sweetheart. This is a poem that reminds the reader that life is indeed a dance and we can dance well into our senior years.

This sounds like a worry of every couple that are on their second marriages. Whether it is meant to be a second time. This couple seems to happy and matches
the metaphor in the poem.
Keep writing
Happy Holidays.

This is a sweet poem, Connie, of two finding each other after many decades. I enjoyed reading it. You did a great job with enjambment, the smooth flow, the great rhymes, the perfect picture, and the great message that love can continue throughout one's life. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Such a beautiful poem that is full of hope, happiness and fresh beginnings. A well-formatted verse with good rhymes that flow through the three stanzas. Good job.

Wow what a joyful tale is told here in these stanzas - two hearts reunited after a lifetime apart - told with candour but also with the sheer delight that only love can bring - if only I had a 6 ??

A very well-written poem about a wonderful couple that have a last chance to find happiness and there is no reason they should wait any longer to take the last dance together.

Yes, Connie. It's never too late for happiness. Age is just a number. What a lovely couple in the picture. Reminds me of my brother-in-law who lost his wife and married a girl from high school when he went home for a high school reunion. They had many more happy years together.Love your poem. Good to see you in the messages. Hugs. Nancy:)

How great to hear from you, Nancy! I didn't think I'd get many reviews since I've been absent for so long, and so it was a pleasant surprise to hear from my dear friend in Nevada. Thank you!
I hope all is well with you. I've been very preoccupied lately with family matters, including a 102-year-old mother-in-law who needs our daily care with three different kinds of therapy. I'm hoping when the holidays end, I can spend more time on this site.
Thanks again.
Lots of hugs to you.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother-in-law.I hope I never live so long I become a burden to my children. That is a ripe old age. I do not mean that in a derogatory manner. It is hard on the family. My sister lived to be 92 and I have another who is 89. God bless her and you for being so loving. Hugs back Nancy

What a lovely poem for a lovely couple. It's good to see folks older than I am can still start over with love. It's so sad when either spouse loses a mate. Suddenly in old age, you're all alone. Your kids have their own lives, and you have lost your life companion. I think it must take a lot of courage to try again to find love. Good for them! :)

It's so good to hear from you, Phyllis. Dealing with family matters these past several months, I've missed being in touch with FanStory friends. I hope to return on a more regular basis very soon.
I hope you are doing well. Happy Holidays to you, and thank you for your most thoughtful review.

I like your metaphor of dance for life/relationship together. Lovely poem with a very happy story. I'm sure she had plenty of reasons to be "cautious" but the right one makes the dance perfect.
