Even as small as a mustard seed. Faith is difficult to have, it need thousands of years of evolution to come by that much.
As for evidence, well there is plenty of people it the the holy books...one well known when what is his name sorry I forgot separate the river to lead the Jewish people to the promised land and to escape the Egyptian forces.
Well?

I wonder if saying the Exodus never happened is similar in the minds of some to saying the holocaust never happened? Oh well, for what it's worth, I believe at least one of those events is 100% true. I'd be more inclined to put my faith in properly trained bridge builders. Many thanks for the most interesting comments. Craig

I really like your short poem for the Faith contest. It is a bit humorous too when you add the part about dynamite. ...trust in what is real... yes, good point. Have a great day.

Craig, I enjoyed the cynical tone of your short poem and the philosophy inherent in that short, sharp last line. Like you, I have no belief in anything of a supernatural nature, I regularly enter this contest and have surprised myself by having some success in it, even when putting forward a view of faith that is quite different from the religious faith most people here subscribe to.
So, I have faith that your faithless poem can win (or at least place second behind mine!) Good luck.

I wish I had your faith, Steve. "Faith is a Wraith", it is not! Still, I said what I wanted to say, and no doubt put a few noses out of joint. Hardly a first for me lol
Many thanks for the kind comments, and good wishes. I might enquire if they'll let me present your medal. I can bask in the reflected glory :)
Cheers,
Craig

Great choice of words, CD! Glad you got inspired by a little verse in the bible, putting it into your own words. Thank you for sharing, trust things that are real!

Clever twist on the famous phrasing. Expressive work...good 'gothcya effect' with the parenthetic here:
the tiniest mustard seed
(and some dynamite),
Some readers might even consider this theme explosive!
Hee hee
An innovative approach to the contest. Good luck.
Warmly, rd

Thanks for the good wishes, and the kind words. Must go now, I've got to go figure out what to spend all the prize money on ;-)
Many thanks,
