This is funny, although I understand not really funny. I do understand the problem with the taps. Your poem is well written and I enjoyed reading it. Thank you for sharing this poem with us.

Thanks Barbara I did a large response to Joan E so I hope you don't mind a cut and paste quote...."We certainly learned not to go down the road we did with the kitchen sink tap where we paid for new taps BIG MONEY...then when the spout went it was found a better solution to go MIX there too...EXTRA MONEY OUTLAID! Funny thing is the people doing the job would not suggest...we had to make the decision ourselves! GOOD ONE THIS TIME! Thanks again. Watch for another solution story /poem coming."

Hi Geoff, nothing worse than have the taps leaking and not working. I'm glad that you've had all that sorted out and that it now works a treat. This is a well written little piece. I'm glad it all worked out for the best. Ulla:))

Thanks Ulla I actually think the pressure has improved as well so maybe the new water piping has opened things up more, too. Thanks again for the lovely review.

We've just replaced our taps in the bathroom, on the actual bath itself, it didn't what we did, they wouldn't stop leaking. So the new ones have worked a treat. Excellent job Geoffrey, well done, blessings, Roy

Thanks, Bro, appreciate your lovely review. Because of the larger one on the kitchen sink, I was worried a smaller version was not available and my shelf out of the picture sadly might have to be removed. Thankfully not so. Check your Messages in a sec. Might even post to you in Facebook PM.

Well done Geoff,

my wife's old Tootsie55 account is being opened up again. A lot of you expressed interest in more info on our travels I mentioned in my book she has written extensively on our travels with limitations of course due to our disability. Look out for it real soon. I was not sure you saw her stuff before

I have Geoff, good stuff.

This is a very well written post about your taps. You used very good descriptive words and the picture goes well with your words. I am glad you got that taken care of my friend! Blessings, Teri

Thanks Sis I am too. I thought I had the shelf over the new Mix in the picture but alas not. For some silly reason, I was worried it might need the shelf removed as the other Mix tap over the kitchen sink with a movable spout for one or other sink was much larger.

I hope you and your wife have a blessed weekend my friend!

Glad you have the pipe problem fixed. I don't think I could have remembered all those instructions for the old ones. Your rhyme and flow is great in this poem in honor of your new device. The humor comes through. Hope you're tapping in harmony now. judi

A very well-written poem about the taps that cannot seem to last and stay in working order forever. There comes a time that we have to replace the old out-dated taps with more modern taps.

Yep Sis that;s for sure. Father-in-law did not help the situation. At least he won't be able to mess this one up. Thanks for the review.

There are all types of trick to the trade. My favorite is to tie twine from the faucet to the basin and control a drip in that manner. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words.

Her work is very good.

Seeing things have changed a lot since she wrote our trip stories she may even write something else. Perhaps her angle on all that went on after her injury and so on. I said more here but better I Message you privately. Cheers.

I miss the old taps. We too have had to change all the ones in the house. Still a few in the gardens and sheds - enough to remind me of the good old days! I found that I could empathise with your lament.

I can identify with this write as my new taps never fit as well as the old and here in the Canaries the taps need changing all the time because of the mineral content in the water, it corrodes the taps! Goodness knows what the water does to my skin! He he he, yep the taps are a mixture of different fixes, love Dolly x

Thanks Dolly for your great review. Still think back to the old galvanised iron pipes at our old house as a kid, when the plumber was upgrading the water service to copper, we noticed the entire service was coming through almost a "pin hole" in the junction with the main supply.
