Did it work? I think most children would prefer Santa to an armadillo, lol! This is another excellent 5-7-5 poem in your collection of animal poems. Well done, the picture was perfect! :)) Sandra xx

I enjoyed the playfulness and pop culture reference of this poem. I'm not sure who the "he" and "his" refers to... Santa, Ross, or the kid? I like the use of armadillos, seems like you must have a theme going if this is Armadillo World 3.

Thanks, Kay. Since there?s only fifteen syllables, it?s difficult to make pronoun antecedent connections absolutely clear for discerning readers. Fortunately, in this poem, it doesn?t matter who ?Rossed? his mind.

You keep finding these cool graphics to accompany your poetry. The armadillo ones are particularly hilarious. I'm glad you explained what rossed meant in your notes, I thought you were pronouncing lost as if you were Japanese. Good job.
