That's an unusual job, but sounds interesting. I've been to Texas and I agree it's a beautiful, varied state.
Did the oil rig smell? I imagine it would smell strongly of oil and probably make me sick. :)

Thanks so much Phyllis for reading and reviewing. I loved Texas when we were there and because of Jim's work we go back during the winter months. I even have our doctors set up there for our fall visits. Ironically the oil rig did not smell, except the one time the piping blew and oil was shooting about a quarter of a mile straight up, then you could smell oil in the air. They have strict regulations to follow and although the workers do tend to look awful when they are working their shift, the sites are clean and organized.

I enjoyed reading your running story/commentary on your unique job. I love Texas too, even though I'm an Arkansas and we were rivals in Football. Texas people are good people. Well done on a well-written tale.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. I really enjoyed your comments about Texas, they are good people. Wow I have been to Arkansas for vacation purposes twice now and had to pass through several times when moving around for assignments. I even took a class for shooting there.
