Hello, it looks like the dog noticed, which is more than you can say for people, sometimes, lol. I'm joking because you reassured me it wasn't about you and there's no need to call an ambulance.
The subject of the poem is a tragedy, not so in ancient Roman times. In some ways it is still a bit of a stigma attached to it in our culture, there is here in Australia. Which is sad, as the families really need support. I had a friend whose husband took his own life recently, a sad brain, I'm afraid, very tragic, two bubbies. And I noticed people didn't talk about it or know what to say. She didn't get comments on her FB page, stuff like that.
I guess the poem resonated with me because of that, and I'm sure it will with everyone as we all have been touched by this in some way shape or form. Thanks for sharing it, Ana.
