So you're bilingual. That's great.
So your grandparents had a farm also. There must be a dozen FSers like us. But then, that era was more rural. And more peaceful too.
You've taught the same grade for a lonnnng time. Ever get burned out?

Nope, every year is different and the curriculum changes and not necessarily for the better. Yes both my grandparents lived on a farm, but only one had milk cows, the other raised hogs. Thank you for the review.

I enjoyed learning more about you, Barbara. Your answers say a lot about you. You are not boring. Having taught those little ones, I know they kept you on your toes & you have many stories you could tell. Good job & thanks for sharing. Jan

I think the privilege to teach 6-7 year olds is awesome, what an opportunity. (I drive and pick up my six year old) granddaughter Indah, to and from school three days a week, we do reading and writing together, such agreat time) I love these.quizzes, very clever of Robyn. Well done, Barbara, blessings, Roy

So true, Like I've said before, I've used English, Spanish, and now German, I need to come up with a new way to denote my chapters. I think I have an idea, hopefully it will work. Thank you.

Always stay with the tried and true with some things, Barbara. In this case good old chapter one, two three etc is fine. It's the writing that counts.

Thanks for sharing about your life. It is nice to get to know people apart from their writing. How interesting you lived in Germany two different times. I'm guessing you know the lang. very well. It's nice to know another lang. I can barely speak English.

Hi Barbara, great stuff, and I will certainly participate. I never knew that you've done this before, so it must be a long time ago. A very long time ago. Robyn Corum did something like it, which I thought was great fun. All the best. Ulla:)))

What an interesting idea! You can claim lots of bragging rights. You have had some interesting experiences. Living in Germany must have been a great experience. I have a copy of Secrets of a Confederate Soldier on my Kindle. I like your movie choices. I couldn't begin to think which ones are my favorites. Good luck with responses on this. judi

I can't either really. Plus I don't watch a lot of movies. LOL Thank you for the review.
-
You're welcome. I don't watch many of the recent movies. I'd certainly rank "To Kill a Mocking Bird" up there, and some of the Hitchcock classics. judi
-
I'd forgot about "To Kill a Mocking Bird" but you're right.
-
It's one of my favorites. Saw a theatrical version of "To Kill a Mocking Bird" this summer. Great acting the local community theater. judi

Barbara,
This was fun. And yours is no more boring than mine... of course that's not saying much! hahaha! Loved your answer for the super hero!
And, so far, everyone who has played along this time HAS milked a cow! Wow.
Thanks so much!

Hi, Barbara,
Thank you for sharing more information about yourself.
I think you are a hero for devoting your life to the education of children. I've always admired teachers. My children both had the same teacher for 1st and 2nd grades. (Since they are two years apart in school, it was a solid four years that Mrs. Phemister was a part of our lives.) The things she taught my kids are some that they still use today.
You aren't boring - just YOU,

Thank you for the kind review. I've had first graders beg me to follow them to second, but first grade is my life.
