This is funny because it brings back memories.
Beep, beep comes to mind, I can see and hear the cartoon now.
The colors goes with the poem and your punctuation marks as good as well.

Yes! I remember them well and I used to laugh so much! They have been recorded in our history along with everything else. Loved your tribute to these two, love Dolly x

I must admit, I've always enjoyed watching Wile E. Coyote, and the fortunately blessed roadrunner, who, seemingly not as bright as the clever coyote nevertheless always manages to outsmart the cunning coyote but is untarnished and untouched by the encounters, well done Bill, another very cute and well written Post, blessings, Roy

Yes, their cartoon was great! I wonder where they are. Kids today don't know of the really good fun cartoons. Your picture is a perfect choice for your well chosen words. Good job on some rhymes. I like the line about 'until gravity change your mind.' Thanks for sharing a fun poem. Jan

Thank you, Jan.
Comment from Gloria ....
Your 9X9 is likely a lot trickier to write than it may appear. I always find the nine syllable lines a wee challenge, but you've done it like a pro.
I never really watched much of the roadrunner and the coyote as the outcome always seemed pretty predictable.
That said, your poem is delightfully original and much enjoyed.

Perhaps they are still going at it on YouTube? Fun poem, Bill! The rules of gravity or any type of physics don't seem to apply in quite the same manner for bird and canine.
