Oh, that was so funny. Is it an 'all dialogue' contest, if not it should be.
I can just see the old giving the young fellow a blast. You have to write more of these they are natural and funny. Sincerely Anne.

Thank you, my friend. Yeah, it's an all dialogue contest due in January. I appreciate the six-stars and your input. I can relate to this story because it's hard for me to hear on the phone, and at 71, I guess I could qualify as an elder. LOL

We must all get better with age I was 76 the other day, or week ago. Hope you do well in the contest. It was funny. Sincerely Anne

This could have been called Lost in Translation. Communication problems can lead to a lot of misunderstandings. I just posted a story about a guy trying to speak Chinese to his neighbor's with disastrous results. It's called Chinese Neighbors.

Thanks for reading and your input on the story. Being hard of hearing myself, I can relate to this story. I will have to make it a point to read your story.

Very amusing. I'm sure some poor attendant has had this conversation. That last request cracked me up. Well done and best of luck in the contest.

You must have had fun writing this. The flow is so perfect and the dialogue is so natural. Thank you for sharing this homespun story. It is fun to imagine if she got out the pepper spray or checked out the humper.

Thanks. I did have fun, and it sounds natural because I can relate to being hard of hearing on the phone. At 71, I qualify as an elder too. LOL

This is a very comical piece. It seems so realistic, I laughed all the way through. The characters were colorful really came to life. The poor guy tried to make light of the situation and only got himself in deeper. Great job.

Thanks. It was easy for me to sound realistic because that could be me as the old woman. It is hard for me to hear on the phone and I often misunderstand what is said. LOL

Thanks. Heck, I am a Mrs. Palasky. That's not my name, but I find it hard to hear when talking on the phone. LOL

Upon nearing the age I assume is portrayed I enjoyed this dialogue. What did you say again? Well thought out and presented.

Thanks. Well, I am already that age (71) and I do find it hard to understand conversations on the phone.

I don't think humper cables are gonna do anything for Mrs. Palasky, bluebirds, heh-heh-heh.
Of course, just because there's snow on the roof don't mean a fire's not burnin' in the stove.
The young grease-monkey fella fromChuck's Cheerful Car Repair (it's all part of the name an should be capitalized) might be able to make her feel much better just by gettin' her car up and running.
This was a hilarious story featuring believable dialogue, good characterization for such a short tale, and no SPAG, which is always a plus.

Thank you, Dean. A good review from a well-known poet like you is a compliment. So, you think I should capitalize the name of the car service?
-
You're welcome.
Yes, I think the car care service should be capitalized.
You have Jiffy Lube, Midas Muffler, Firestone Care Centers, etc. They are capitalized because they are formal names.
Chuck's Cheerful Car Repair would be no different.

Hello prettybluebirds,
It's beern some time since I last read something from you, and then here you come and whack me senseless with hilarity.
The artwork added to the fun. I could see that old girl chomping at the bits! Besides, you did an excellent play of language (that tends to refuse to stay static - I often can't understand my son's MTV and Twitter languag!) as it has developed and represents the generations gaps.

Thanks. Yeah, I haven't posted too much lately. I intend to get back at it right sudden as I want to be in the top ten by the end of the year. I just haven't been in the mood for a while.

Thanks. A good review from you means a lot to me. I can relate to this story as it is hard for me to hear on the phone. I guess I can qualify as an elder at age 71 too. LOL
