Shana not wanting to accept the clothes Anderson provided for her--that must have been difficult for her. She is very firm about wanting to do the right thing. I loved the scene with Anderson becoming so attracted to her that he "takes his eyes off the ball," so to speak. I thought it worked really well, although we don't catch Shana's reaction. She surely would have noticed. Good strategy to change the subject to food. You show Shana as being so overwhelmed about being stalked and intimidated by the Russians that surely is preventing her from considering any romance. judi

I was wondering if Anderson would develop feelings for Shana. You did a great job with this chapter and left the reader wanting to know how Shana feels about Anderson. I am sure that will not develop soon, but his kindness is hard to ignore. I look forward to the next chapter. I didn't see anything that needed fixing or changing.

Thank you for your kind review. If I get them together too soon, my story ends and I still have a lot to say. LOL

Of course, you need to progress slowly or, as you say, without the slow progression of their love, you will still have a lot more to write about and

I know it's coming, that Shana and Anderson won't be able to control their attraction. Of course, as I figured, you weren't about to let it happen first time out and without playing it for all it's worth. LOL! Great job, and thanks for another fine chapter. :-)

Hello Barbara,
Anderson has feelings for Shana, but they've a few problems to sort out - a good descriptive chapter, putting the reader there at the scene, which I so enjoyed.
Well-penned, my friend.

Hi Barbara,
Nice extension of the chapter here. Setting out their stalls but Anderson isn't even fooling himself! lol
Turning toward him, Shana said, "You don't need to leave."
"I'm not. I really do have some things I need to attend to." - this exchange rea a little awkwardly. Philip's response would normally be to something like 'You don't need to leave on my account'
"Helen, could you heat our dinners. - should probably have a question mark here.
All the best

Dear Barbara - having not read this story I am jumping in the deep end here with this post. I would say that it read well, the dialogue was easy and real. The budding attraction wonderful. No issues I could see, just smooth well penned writing that kept me entertained.
Thanks for sharing.

From all the posts I've read of this story, the chapter is my best, possibly because I'm getting into the story finally. I like the way you get the reader to know that Anderson is developing feelings for Shana. It's subtle but unmistakable - the way it should be, in my humble writerly opinion. I'm sure to read the next post.
