I dearly love the innocience and fantacy you presented in this double etheree which I might add is excellently done. To dream of magical things instead of the horrors our mind dreams up.

Hi, Jeni. Okay, I tried this:

"Open your mind; you will
be transported to the land
of magic. Hobbits and Centaurs
dancing 'round a tree in the meadow;"

Really do like the message in this poem. Good words along with rhyming make it easy to read, and get the message. Nice to know anyone can have a dream. Good job, thanks for sharing.

Luna, alone as I live 24/7, my mind drifts into a world of a mystical fantasy. If you knew me, you would find me reading poetry concerning faeries, pixies and other denizens of the nighttime fanatasies.

I loved all of this double etheree, appealing so much to my romantic nature, but those last six lines I am going to hold onto until it's bedtime. What a wonderful thought to carry into slumber!

I think there is a contest going on now for poems written in a diamond pattern. This would have been an excellent entry. Especially since it wasn't written just to create a shape, but to actually say something.

This mirrored nonet, The Distance to a Dream, is one that gives the readers permission to dream of the playful, ethereal, and fantastical world we once believed existed when we were very young. Nice.

You have a wonderful shape poem here and I love the line about the hobbits and centaurs. You need to publish a book with all of your fantasy poetry, I would definitely be a customer.

    Thank you, mermaids! I'm, happy that you enjoyed the piece. Yes, I've one book published with 25 of my favorites (but that was a few years ago), and I am thinking about creating a new one. I'll keep you informed!!
