What is, indeed, the soul?20 total reviews

Our whole existence is coming from our souls. What we feed our souls that is what they will thrive on. The only part of us that God is concerned about.

I loved your comments. Thank you so much.

Ahh a lovely poem advocating the union of self and universe. We are not alone, to think so is completely selfish and ignorant. Our entire system of function is a synergistic and symbiotic model. Food, electricity, water, communication all depend on the input of another. What a fantastic use of clouds to create this image. Well done

Very nice soul poem. I loved they message your poem provided, and the art of the sky that delivered it. Very well done in style and message.

I read your piece several times (about 10!) with great interest because I could never define 'soul', so since I found someone who thought they could I decided to read it until I got it. My favorite line is: "It's God's Signature of Him Who made you left in you." I don't know how in the world you ever came up with that, but you did and the more I read it, the more sense it makes. Your name isn't anywhere b/c it's a contest piece, but I would bet it has a great chance of winning. Wouldn't that just salt your radish!! GoodHearted Woman

Well, Anonymous Author, then all is as it should be I suppose.
This is certainly an interesting and expressive free verse interpretation of our souls. I wish you the best of luck in the contest with your introspective entry.

great study of a subject that you seem to deeply care about. You have written about him/her and made them feel real to the reader. Like he is really here right next to me.

A very moving poem about the soul, which is very difficult to define.
I like, "its the part of the person that defines goodness, expresses pain,
and shares true nature and nurture." ~~this part really caught my attention.
And then you cinched it with, "And truly, it is what we are
when all else
is dust."
Beautiful!
Good luck in the contest,
Rhonda

I like the comparison you've made here starting out with the sky and the amazing things that happen there. Then you go on to describe God and all that He has designed in each of us. Finally ending with the idea of the soul - very difficult to describe isn't it? You've done a fine job with this poem and defining soul. Good luck, Carol

This is anexcellent entry in this soul writer poetry contest, it speaks of the mysterious "soul" the part that plots, plans, nurtures every thought, contrives emotion, reasons good or bad things, and yet doesn't understand itself. Great write, the best thing we can do is turn it over Ito an incorruptible God....completely, that's the hard bit! First class imaginative entry, smooth and articulate, well delivered, good chance in this contest, well done,

Your poem celebrates the uniqueness in all of us. I think it is glorious. The wonder of self, I like that line. It reminds us how special each and every one of us are. Thank you for brightening my day.
