Missy,
I love your mirror image. Truth versus lie, trust versus doubt, forgiveness versus blame. I love the artwork. We do need to let things go but it is hard to let lies just drift on by. Fantastic writing.
Blessings,
Darlene

Thanks, Darlene. I was stupid, but I guess love does that to you, blinds you. I am still learning at 62. lol

I enjoyed your poem. Good job on the presentation--the color scheme works well, the artwork is perfect, and your well chosen words work to create a great poem with an important message.
I see no changes. Good job and thanks for sharing.

I am busy too. I don't review near as much as I used too. I'm taking a Comp. II class through the community college and it is keeping me very busy but I like it a lot:)
Take care Missy.

Great words of wisdom, Missy! :)
If only we could all follow this. Letting go is the beginning of the healing process. This has taken me years to learn. Only when you do this, can you move on.
Thank you for sharing this. The picture is beautiful, going perfect with your emotional words that express forgiveness, and healing.

Very well written and sorry to say, I have had this happen, I married him anyway and have learned to confront it head on. He has mellowed out with age, but it was tough going for a very long time. He doesn't lie, so much as just loves himself more than he does the rest of us.

Tough, tough poem. That felt like it would have come from you staring into the mirror, with these words pouring worth about your relationship and the one who hurt you.
Strong conviction to end the poem. forgiveness...that is the first part of letting go.
JT
PS, love your Halloween look on your page.

AMEN. After awhile you begin to see the signs. Let him go. Just don't make yourself that available to him. He will go find another that will dote on him. There are good guys out there just looking for someone to be good for and with. Don't give up.

I'd have extreme difficulty 'forgiving' a REPEATED liar, Missy, though I believe forgiveness to generally be a great thing. By doing so in this case, whether fiction or bio, you prove how strong your love was/still is, but also offer excellent advice to others to 'move on' as soon as possible - often easier said than done, of course.
Best wishes, Ray xx
