Moonlight and water makes a connection as everything's related somehow to each other. Together, we can things happen, or not. I think the word, "the" could be left out, but then you're short one syllable which I always take as a challenge, meaning I could throw a useful syllable in there. Wonderfully done. Les

Clever play on the word "faces" by using "phases". The moon does offer many strange sights. Well written poem that should also be a good contest entry.
