Entertaining thought
I love the concept of addressing God and then writing him off .
I've spent most of my adult life doing the same as you.
It's great fun to design one's own universe
and thn play god with your characters

Thanks, Brian, for reviewing my poem and for your kind comments. I didn't exactly design the universe, if I did, it wouldn't have fleas or pooh. As for the characters, if we can invent them, I guess we can do away with them.

I suspect you must have a rather weird sense of humour - join the club!

It took me a little while to work out what you were actually saying here and even then the logic is a little baffling, but I like it. never been a big believer in the big fella, myself.

I live on the opposite side of the world, so the weather is quite different here. I liked your thought process here. Your poem reminds me of a quote from a movie called Easy Rider. If there was no god, it would be necessary to invent one. Thank you for posting this thought provoking poem... John

Very interesting and mind challenging, in that I asked somebody if they believed in aliens. The answer was yes. Then I asked what about their god? The answer was that they have another god. I thought, "Wow! What a trip! Didn't you say there's only one god?" His answer was silence. Don't get me wrong. I love your poem. Wonderfully done! Les
