I really like this one, Dean! You could have added in some screaming from the victim but the internal thoughts and narration are excellent and very ghoulish! Living Doll with glass eyes! Excellent chapter my friend. Best wishes, Pete :)

Thanks, Pete. I really appreciate the excellent rating and review, my friend.
I wanted this morbid creep's calm demeanor to be the central focus of this story, as he slices and dices his unwilling participant. Hannibal Lecter terrifies me far more than zombies, vampires and the like. He's so reserved...so calm...and that's what makes him so creepy. I tried to incorporate his demeanor in the killer character of this story.
I'm glad you liked it, and thanks so much again. ~Dean

Hi Dean,
I don't know, buddy, I think I'm going fighting and squirming to whole way, lol. (...don't know why I'm laughing!)
Although, most professionals would agree that a hobby is good for the soul; however, in this case...
Interesting way to present this tale...from the point of "view" of the victim...rather unnerving to say the least.
This reminded me of an old story about these three guys caught by the Indians. They were to be given a good meal and would then be skinned and their skin would used to cover the Indian's tribal boats.
As the condemned men sat eating, one noticed his friend was stabbing himself with a knife.
He asked, "What are you doing?"
The guy replied, "They're not going to make a canoe out of me!" (Hee, hee).
Another great addition to the book, my friend,
Bill
BTW, I'll be ready in a few days to post that piece you looked at a week ago.
I had a freak cheese-grater accident recently, and took off the back knuckle of my right index finger. It has been a bear trying to type, but it is getting better so I'm finally getting caught up.

As always, the horror and the teasing, I always fall for it, but in this one for a while I thought it was one of those plastic surgeries to make us prettier. No thank you! Great charade.

That certainly does put a twist on the characterization of a living doll - well maybe not all that living. Another gruesome fiend at work again I see. This one with a very unusual hobby. I can only imagine the displays you referred to. But i guess that's what you wanted. To expand and use our imagination. Well you did it.

I hear that a lot, Barbara, lol.
Regardless, I'm happy that you gave the story a shot, and as always, I really appreciate getting your take on my writing. Heck, if we all wrote feel-good, happy stuff, who would supply us with the thrills and chills we need to get our hearts racing?
Much obliged! ~Dean ;)

Ha-ha, I don't think I specified where they met, Linda. They guy just pulled a Buffalo Bill and shanghied her, I'd imagine. You know, like that crazy transvestite dude from the film, Silence of the Lambs?
Thanks for the funny comments, and the six stars too. I really do appreciate it. :)

What a wicked way to create a "living doll." The narrator's insanity is fused with stupidity. Why hasn't he figured out that this procedure kills his victims! Guy get a clue, or a life size doll at Toys 'r Us.
Dean, bring on the next nightmare!!!

Yeah, right, Muffine? But you know, some people never learn from their mistakes. That's why they keep making the same ones, over and over again. Who knows, maybe he'll get it "right" next time.
Thanks a bunch for your comments. :}

Wow. Ew you describe the slice along the jaw well. Ooh gave me the creeps. I love your dialogue too. Believable. You definitely leave the reader wanting more. I like short chapters too. Makes it flow better imo.
Great piece man.

Hah...thanks, Gregory. Most people who've been following the stories in the series seem to like them, for the most part. Hey, if you can scare the pants off someone in 500 words ot less, I think you've managed to really pull off something. As long as you're not "pulling off" anyone's fingers or toes, heh-heh.
Thanks tons for the review. :}
