You have used the given words intelligently and humorously. I appreciate your attitude towards contests. When the writing is on the wall ie FS, that whatever you write, your ballot box woule be empty though reviewers might say that you are a strong contender, thenwhy waste your hard-earned member dollars on promoting them?

This is good and you echo the sentiment of many! I think forced rhyme (where rhyme is not required to begin with) is more forgivable and (regardless) it underscores the purpose behind the poem, the struggle to create it.

But the cleaver way you combined the words of the prompt and made it work in an acrostic poem...
I amazed at how you did indeed take this entry and contest to a new level...
Genius!
I enjoyed every morsel and the rhyme too regardless that in places it was silly, but then, who am I to fault a genius on his silly day...

An acrostic is an acrostic is-is the requirement of being serious and noble spelled out in the prompt? Poems about Jabberwockies and such did quite well, thank you.
