When I was in high school they had soup and the one day I got myself some and someone bumped me and it burnt my hand. Like it was too hot to be served and I probably could have sued but...I'm not like most so I sucked it up and took care of it. LOL. My sister's friend had a baby and when he was about one he jumped off the couch and his face landed in the entertainment center. They rushed him to the ER and they put stitches in. When they got home they went to take him out of the car only to realize that in his one year old mind he decided to take one of the stitches out. Yep, they had to go back to the ER again. Two trips in one night. LOL. Your granddaughter sounds like a blast with all the dress up and you most certainly can't forget the grandpuppies. I hope the newest member is super cute and healthy.

I enjoy the levity of your own use of the word scheduled, John. Of course she's expected to arrive, but then you wouldn't have had the opportunity to inject that good bit of humour.

On a daily basis, sometime (sometimes) two and three times a day

he losy (lost) his balance and stumbled

There are a few funky marks throughout, but that's the editors doing. Must be on a grump day.

they will never find him in the woods that surrounds there (their) home.

Thank you for sharing part of your life, John. You could always just write under the age of a hundred. That could be anything from new born to age ninety-nine.

This is a most endearing story. Best wishes to you.

Gloria

Wasn't it awful when our kids got hurt - and so
much worse when our grandchildren get booboos?
I really liked your commentary on your family -
isn't it fun to share their stories?
thanks for sharing

What a lovely and sweet piece you've written. I am so pleased when I see a happy family doing their thing. My two grandchildren are growing up quickly. One will be five in a couple of weeks and the other seven in six months. Then I have seven other ranging from nearly two in May and 26 in May. Yes, it does make me feel old, but I love the joy and humour they extend when they visit. The first two I mentioned, actually live in my home. I live in the basement suite, and gave them the main floor with four bedrooms, because why would I need four bedrooms at my age. Anyway, Nice piece and glad to see you enjoying your grandchildren. Drew

wonderful photo
Let's say her grand entrance - add the apostrophe for contraction of Let us
my three and a half year old granddaughter, is - add the comma to close the appositive
do this in mommies clothes - mommy's clothes
typo - he losy his balance - lost
fantastic detail in sharing your family stories, which are all delightful, even the injuries, because of your engaging narrative style
You sound like the proud and doting grandpa you ought to be :-) Brooke

John, I sure enjoyed your story about your grandkids and granddogs. I'm so glad Ryder wasnt seriously injured. Best wishes on the birth of your newest addition, and hope everything goes well. There were some errors that need fixing, and please let me know if you decide to make the changes, and I'll upgrade the rating.
Smiles,
Karyn :-)

She will turn four in June(,) and the cool thing about her birth date(birthdate)(,)is she shares it with her Daddy(daddy). On a daily basis, sometime(s) two and three times a day, she loves to play dress up. Aiden doesn't do this in mommies(Mommy's) clothes, but in one of her many Disney princess (Princess) dresses. You name one, I think she'll have(she has) it.

Ryder,(delete comma)is my grandson(,) and he turned two this past Wednesday,(.) He celebrated his birthday by visiting his pediatrician. Not an unusual occurence, but his purpose became two-fold;(:) , None, he was scheduled for a routine check-up and two, for a surprise special need unbeknownst to the doctor. On Monday, he was playing on the living room floor. When he stood up to do whatever went through his mind or caught his eye, he losy(lost) his balance and stumbled towards the fireplace. He stretched out his left arm to help regain his balance (because he help(held) his precious Anna doll in his right)

There's several text/type errors in the second text that needs fixings

The doctor indicated although it looks(ed) horrendous, it will(would) heal just fine. He prescribed a medicated ointment to ensure it heals(ed) properly.

I called Ryder for his birthday(,) but he wasn't in the mood to chat. Aiden(,) on the other hand(,) was one chatty little Princess Jasmin(Jasmine).

His one phobia - Ã? (??)stairs and a refusal to climb either up or down the stairs. They can put him on there(their) front porch

Just under eight months old, I'm told size wise(sizewise)(,) she is probably done growing and when fully matured and developed(,) is expected

I love this family newsletter. I cringed at the part of the baby getting burned. On that note I would like to recommend EMU oil. The oil goes into the skin and heals from the inside out thus reducing the amount of scaring. It is used in burn and cancer centers. Thank you for introducing us to all of the family which includes the dogs. They are like children , too. My grands are six and three. I am amazed how fast they grow and what their interests are. Love to you and the family and a smile for the new arriving baby.

I enjoyed reading about the happenings in your family. Delightful picture and well written account. I spotted a couple of errors, hope you don't mind. Para 2, Mommy's clothes. Para 3, occurrence. Para 4, fingers and palms are blistered. Para 9, multi-coloured...........hollering. Para 10, their front porch.........their home. Most enjoyable. Faye
