Tony I like your grieving poem. I love dolphins and loved to watch them play off the bow of our yacht. There is something sublime about them. They love and protect too. Thanks for author notes they helped.
God bless

I love the artwork you choose for your poem
It is a perfect match.
One can sense the relationship between the woman and the sea creatures.
This is a delightful read.
Thank you for sharing.

What a lonely picture this presents. I do see from the notes, though that things work out for the better. A classic Greek myth woven from the fabric of the sea and told with beauty, suspense, and delight. Kenny

I do believe the poet is well versed with mythology and the stories of gods and goddesses and it showed clearly well in your poem. I learned something new from your poem for I haven't read yet a story about Salacia and Neptune and their beautiful love story. Thanks for sharing this with us, God bless.

Thanks for your review, rjuselius. Introspection can sometimes get out of hand! The dolphins seem to have a happier outlook!

Hi A super poem of an old tale and the feelings of being pulled to the saddder, negitive side of thought or emotion.
yeah, swim with the dlphins...sometimes though, for me, the trouble is actually getting into the sea...

Thanks, Padumachitta. It is always that first step into the ocean that is the most difficult!

Tony; I appreciate so much your authors notes they were very helpful and the picture is very outstanding and also represents the poem quite well. Very good imagery that is very descriptive and expressive Tony: ("dragged into crystal caves(good alliteration) where Neptune reigns in a futile pool of tears, yearning for Salacia.")
Thanks so much Johnny for sharing this with everyone including myself and may all your endeavors be good ones.

Your poem is interesting and author notes help to correlate easily with dolphins. It is said that if one cannot get the best, he should be happy with the second best. 'We could just as easily disport with dolphins' is perhaps an allusion. Dolphins, anyway, are credited to have high intelligence and feelings like human beings.
