What a hassle. Things like that happen. My mom forgot she was already had health insurance automatically taken from her bank account and ended up buying more. She couldn't understand why she could never balance her checking account. After she died, I discovered she had two health insurance and only one of them would pay. The other started to complain after I closed the back account.

Ha, I imagine it would be illegal to have two insurance policies for anything including health cover particularly if one tried to claim on both, hehe. Sounds like there should have been a refund from one of those? Thanks for coming along. Look at Mastery's review and some of my explanations for stuff he could not figure out. I will make some changes he suggested.

I don't have a problem with Aussie English. I think it's kind of cute. But you guys use words you don't hear in England.
-
Might be the Irish influence? I am from the Irish (Protestant) Moores. Have a look at the Geoffossary at the back of Little Dog you will see some of my word creations.
-
I'm part Irish too. My maiden name was Weir and they came from Ireland. I knew a lot of Moores where I grew up.
-
I wonder if there were any Catholic Moores? Ours were Church of England I won't say like your Episcopalean as they are more what we call "High Church of England" almost catholic. More "Low" Church of England I think.

Alas, the snafus of bureaucracy. Wryly amusing, in retrospect, given it got straightened out. Wonder why it's illegal to have double insurance. (Did they find out if it was a scammer?)

I could tell by the e-mail address on the "toll infringement" it was most likely a scammer. I never heard anymore. We don't drive anymore as you may have seen elsewhere. Thanks for coming by.

Hi Geoffrey. Thanks for the update and hope all of it gets fixed and worked out. Bureaucracy with insurance companies is always a hard thing to deal with. Hope you and Louise are both well. Blessings!

Thanks, this is an ancient post we don't have the car anymore. Just trying to get more readers to some of these before we disappear some of the time.

Oh, thanks for clarifying. Please stay safe.

Hi, Geoff,
Between insurance companies, and those toll charges, they can be a real nightmare. I'm not surprised you've been going around for a long time, and that it's not over.
I hope you get it all resolved soon--and to your benefit of course!
Cheers & Blessings

This sounds very similar to dealing with DMV in the US. I swear to get a job there you must pass and incompetency and a rudeness test. LOL
I imagine once it gets sorted out there might be a heap of charges on the account or may hap they will just give us a clean slate. (hap???? or maybe?????)

Being an American, it always looks so strange seeing a steering wheel on that side of the vehicle. For us yanks, it would take a bit of getting used to, I'm sure.
So, it sounds as if the Aussie Government, and the powers-that-be, are no more adept at handling their peoples' problems than or own Government is. Hopefully, however, they will eventually get it all straightened out for you.
Good luck!

I'll say a prayer for you, & your wife, Sankey, I guess it can be frustrating at times, when problems seem compounded, one right after another.....It seems mine come like the same week, unexpected dilemmas in 3's or 4's ...Maybe, you should, send each of these businesses, this story of your honesty, about the situation, or one similar.....Good pic of your wife...I don't think could ever get used of driving with the steering wheel on the right side.

Sankey, I know this isn't really funny, but I had to chuckle. I think we've all been up against something like this at one time or another. I loved reading this one and I certainly hope you get it all sorted out. Good job. Have a good one, Judy
