Quite interesting to represent gold on many undertakings.Maxim "all that glitters is not gold" is applied to tungsten, plated gold.1 Corinthians 3:14 states "every man's work shall be made manifest;for the day shall declare it,because it shall be revealed by fire;and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is." Therefore pure gold will glitter more if tried in fire while plated gold turns dull. What made it dull? It is in miserable state of heart,a rebellious spirit. love gold anyway. Thanks for writing about gold.

Nice little story, Carolyn. I, too, feel so sorry that this had to happen. All those innocent people killed for absolutely no reason. Treaties between countries don't seem to mean anything anymore. Alas! Nice write. Miss Sally

This is a nice, well-written commentary. The text flows well and engages the reader interest. The message is clearly conveyed. The overall presentation, with the artwork, is attractive and attention grabbing.

I agree completely. If everybody followed this simple common sense rule, we probably would have world peace.
In the fourth paragraph you have some spacing issues with your commas, first too many, then toward the end none.

And so it goes.
Fairytales and magic.
Sigh!
Politics is a big business and sometimes corrupt.
I like this piece because it makes a very valid point and reads well.
Many will think hard after reading it.

Yes, you are so perfectly right, gold is a non reactive metal , nothing can taint it and you cannot destroy it .That is why it became a standard for perfection. but the greed for gold destroys too. A well written and thought ful passage
I havent come to the site foe some days .so I may have missed a few of your postings.

this is very well written, Carolyn, you did an excellent job writing this essay about the pain that others seem so gleeful to pass on in this world. I love what you wrote about gold.

Well written Carolyn, we have connected in God, I have written a poem M17, because a number of our folk were on that flight, returning home, including a grandfather and his grandchildren, but were shot down in cold blood! such a tragedy! I love your story my friend, and I'm deeply moved, because of what I feel at the moment! Great, articulate work, expressively beautiful! Blessings, Roy.

I thought of you and Australia's terrible loss. I read your poem also and author notes, and had not realized so many little children were on board. What a wicked world we dwell in. Thank you for your comments Roy, Love to you, Carolyn
