Televison does effect your kids, they even had it on a episode of "Yes Dear" where the kid would beat up Greg after watching the 3 stooges!

With so many harsh and volatile language spoken it is no wonder our kids are getting bad mouthed when they speak to their parents.

Oh how very true. We are so inundated by bad TV that we hardly have the time to separate the visual wheat from the chafe. And we have become so used to having critics and politicians tell us what is and isn't okay for our kids that we no longer know what to pick.

I didn't count the words. Shame on me. nice story, though, and smooth dialog. All television that gives any child a hint that "fair" ever comes free or that you can get anything for nothing should be extinguished.

It is a scary pic with all those muppet characters with weapons. I like the dialog form here,it ahs an impact on the reader and makes one think. Televison is not for children.

"Don't be silly. If it were bad for kids, they wouldn't show it on television, right?"

Hi lancellot,
I think the final statement by the 'parent' sums it up. You could add 'if its on the internet, it must be true ..' to the list. There is a link to violent TV games, shows and the violence kids show to each other. It won't be addressed though, there is far to much money being made from it.
