To the author of Two Views. Regarding your author notes, you did an excellent job of pointing out two views. She didn't care about others and yet she helped others with her talents of grace. Nicely written. Carole

Excellent 5-7-7. You did a fantastic job of balancing two different views in one poem. It didn't seem awkward or forced at all. Great work.

Worrying what others think is a waste of time, unless it's a useful critique. LOL. Guess there's always an exception. The message: it's not the ego, but serving, caring for others. Very nicely composed. Les

Again, something new to say on an old topic. I love the idea that there is grace in service - grace probably isn't the first word that comes to mind when you think of faithful service, but what a great way of characterizing those who serve. And certainly charm isn't what would come to mind for most people when asked to contrast someting with faith, but again, it rings true.

This one is a little different and I guess I've never considered comparing Charm to Faith. Charm seems to be less likely to be as helpful as Faith. Nice.

I've never tried this style but you did a very good job with it although I have to say I like the last one best. Good luck:)

Ah-h-h-hhhhhhhhh, very well done, Mystery Poet, and the fact that you tackled the challenge of writing two opposing views on one subject (though it was not a requirement), and you pulled if off is commendable.

While having "charm" is nice, is is far more to our advantage to have "faith", I feel.

Well done. Best of luck to you.

Interesting contrast between charm and faith. I'm trying to read this as a portrait of one person, relying on selfish charm while an inner core of faith struggles to balance the scales.

Effective use of personification in delivering your thoughtful message
both unrhymed stanzas are in good syllable count for this form :-) Brooke
