You are so right- God cannot be defined by any book or school of thought. He/She/It is for all, transcending divisions. And the best way to worship is to coexist.

Excellent poem! The poem flows and connects well. The author's words are descriptive, thought provoking and creative. I especially love the last line.

shelley, this is a well written write that deals with a universal topic concerning faith. It is important, however who the object of faith is. The syllable count 0f 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 8, is creative. This is a solid entry in the Faith Poetry Contest contest. All the best in the contest! :0 GracieAnn

Excellent message, Shelly Kaye, and so very true. It matters little if your Baptist, Catholic, Jehovah's Witness or Mormon. Faith is the belief and hope in all things unseen.
I think you'll do extremely well with this in the contest, it's very well said.
Good luck to you.

I agree that faith comes from within. This says you posted this March 21 - how can it be a contest entry if it was already posted? Or did you just revive it with new certificate? anyway, I enjoyed it and good luck in the contest.

This is a well written poem. I love the format which you have made to look so easy, even though I know it is not easy to keep that syallble count and still make the poem make such sense. A really strong entry

good luck int he contest
You seems to have captured a a part of the truth of faith. Another, for me, is it needs to be sheltered and protected, out of the way of storms and such

I am not sure I am qualified to review the more exotic forms of poetry. Here I must say, faith can't be taught
but facts can, and how can one have faith without knowing any facts?

And yet Romans 10:17
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
So faith that you are talking about must be different .
I love the Word of God and I m bound to trust Him...faith trust love are found I. The words of our Saviour who loves and died so we can be in heaven when we die. Romans 6
God bless
