:-) Definitely a humorous approach....to a not so humorous job :-)
And done with great rhythm, rhyme and panache!!
I enjoyed every minute of reading this rant!!!
Nice job :-)

This poem deserves a six star rating. I am so sorry I have already given out my quota for the week. The rhythm and rhyme are perfect and along with the humour, there is a touch of truth - manure nurtures some fabulous crops. Best of luck in the contest. I don't see how this can miss being a winner. Blessings to you.

Thank you for the generous review and the virtual six.

Excellent poem that captured your emotion, showing your dislike of chicken poo but made fun of this dislike through the lines and words in this not funny, but funny poem. Good luck in the contest, and God bless.

You did a great job with the prompt. This is certainly an unsavory task which produces good results, and you made it amusing to read about. Good aabb rhyming scheme and a good cadence. Good luck in the contest.

This reads really well with its rollicking rhythm,
The rhyming so clever, for it I would clap.
Surprising that you singled out for a topic,
A virtual truckload of pure chicken crap.
I particularly liked "Dungeon of Dung." Beautiful.

This is funny and darling at the same time. I grew up on a farm. Animal shit was way too much a presence in my life in those days. But, to your point, it did make for wonderful crops. Very clever rhyming, well written, well done. Good luck on the contest.

Wonderful! I love this homage to, what did you call it? Oh yeah, 'Chooky poo manna. MY favorite line is 'the Gulag of guano, The Palis of Poop' That line is worth the price of admission. The last line in that fourth stanza is a leetle long, non? Don't care, you still get a 5. Good luck..Quillian

This is very well written and very funny. I got several chuckles from this one. And, since I've been a farmer all my life, I realize that your words are true. Any type of manure will make those vege's stand up tall. Good luck. Bill
