Oh, how you made me smile .... there is a twofold tale in this, for sure ... both the insect's and the poet's "gogli" hearts and romantic aspirations laid bare!

A well-crafted writing as romance in the world of entomology is expressed through the various eyes of love.
Interesting format of Tanka and Naani.

An interesting fling of fancy over this unique dragon fly. Well done, my friend.
Another great picture has provided inspiration. Love those gogli eyes!

Hi Tom,
What a creative post this is. Through the eyes of a dragonfly. Usually just around dusk we have hundreds of dragonflies flying through the air getting the mosquitos I think. It is fabulous to sit on the porch and watch them dance in the air.
A great poem I enjoyed reading it - a new format for me to grasp.
Thanks for sharing it.
Maureen

Thank you Maureen. I love watching them too. If you are lucky, you can get them to perch on your finger. My 8 year old grandson was camping with me this weekend. He was running about trying. He succeeded proudly a couple of times. I once had one that returned to my finger several times with a mosquito it caught, then ate, leaving 4 tiny mosquito legs left over on my finger. So I can confirm that yes, they catch and eat them.

LOL I hope it ate the mosquito before the bite:) Some of the dragonflies have fabulous colours...:) My kids used to do the same as your grandson. Now they just sit on the porch with me and watch them.
    Hugs

A good little romantic poem. Consistent rhyming scheme for this type of poetry. The words flowed well. A good SUSNIKA poem.
