This tells the tale of Lucifer's fall from grace in an interesting way, using elements of narrative prose. But there is a shift in the direction of the narrative that seems accidental. At first, the narrator is speaking TO Lucifer, but later he speaks ABOUT Lucifer. Seems like an error in POV.
Other than that, very nice.

Hello. Very deep poem on jealousy here. Great job with this. You have a good rhyming scheme with your free verse here and its a subject we can all identify with. Indeed, the genre I love reading about. I liked your use of, "On the way to eternal doom, you seek to take the man." Brilliant. Good luck and cheers.

This spiritual poem is not only enlightening, it showed how the jealousy evolved since the dawn of man. The story continued to unfold of how the jealousy manifested into something terrible - and all went awry, splintered and misguided. Christ had to come and forgive our sins - making us whole again and deserving God's grace once more. Tragic story of the rise and fall of man. And now, we are somewhere in between - still doubting for some. Good write and description of a story so passionate. Cheers.

Thank you very much. While I appreciate what you said and believe I know what you meant, deserved grace is not grace at all. That's what's so amazing about it;it's not deserved in any way. Thanks again and God bless.

Hi,
Thx for the enlightenment and I fully agreed with the "it's not deserved in any way". We are so small and insignificant and 'under the sun, everything is but meaningless, just like catching the wind" - this last one will provoke more deeper thoughts, LOL. Cheers. Ritchie.

Beautifully done and in a tone that can be received by the readers. We forget that Lucifer was the best. His flaw was thinking himself better than the one in which he sprung. "And by the power of the Spirit, He opened the door of grace." and that is our shield.

Thank you. I appreciate your reading and responding. I believe when He said "I will be like the Most High, he wanted God's power and the worship due only to God.

This is a wonderfully crafted and penned work. The story from Satan's downfall and his ill effect on man, made it necessary for Christ to come to Earth and live a perfect life. He showed man it is possible with the help of God. He suffered one of the most horrific ways to die, but he did it for me. If I follow his will, I will spend eternity with Him in Heaven. That is one of the most comforting things about this life.
Godspeed,
Curtis

Thank you Curtis for your kind and insightful remarks. I hope you nderstand that doing His will begins with simply trust Jesus Christ to take away your sin and give you His righteousness? Here's how Christ put that in John 6:38-40
New King James Version (NKJV)
38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.â??
Hope that is helpful to you. WE must trust His works on our behalf before we are qualified to work for Him. God bless!

When we consider that jealousy is borne with anger at its core, your narration in this poem certainly explores and portrays its powerful strength. Very nicely done.

Your well-written poem effectively reminds the reader of how very dangerous jealousy is. After all, it was the emotion/trait that caused the rebellious angels to be thrown into Hell! Very good

The poem describes exactly what jealousy is and where it comes from. It can indeed destroy, but we can overcome it with the right path. I also like how you arranged it in rhyming couplets, which were entertaining to read. I wish you good luck in the contest.

Excellent submission into the Jealousy Poem contest. It's not only on topic, but it's spiritual as well. Wonderful rhyming couplets. A great recitation of Christ's suffering and his redemption of us. And Satan's spiritual jealosy. Nicely done!

This is mighty. In almost biblical language, it tells the story of how evil entered the universe, and continues to threaten the human race (and how the humans can embrace salvation). Verdict: righteous poem.
