this is very well written, alexis, you did a great job writing this chapter where lisa survives and alan finds out the truth, but lisa doesn't want to see him because of what he said to her. i was hoping the baby would survive the crash though. now she has richard protecting her.

Hi Alexis, I am going to try to give you a complete intelligent review of your chapter. The emotions involved in romance are a difficult and risky undertaking. I do like the subplots you instill within the chapter, bringing an extra layer to the depth of the chapter. One thing I notice is the full descriptions you give as Lisa lay in the emergency room, to me it seems as if that perspective is one of an author can only give after experiencing it. Brings back memories after an incident a few years ago for me as I faded in and out in the emergency room. I really do like the style of your narration in this as you explain the characters thoughts and viewpoints. Also you description of the scenes from the inner point of the dialogue happening is superb. The roller coaster of emotions with the flashbacks is very fitting to this genre, you are quite talented, the line discussing the loss of the baby brings back memories of my exwife over 15 years ago as she received such news, your description of the emotions and actions by Lisa, even though simple is grand in bringing the reader closer in empathy with her. The last conversation between Richard and Allen make me want to turn the page as fast as I can. You are very talented at this.

I'm almost reluctant to answer your wonderful review because I've had so much pleasure reading it every time I go onto my review page, and I know that when I reply, it shall disappear from my daily view!In answer to your question, no, I've never been in an emergency room, but I do remember the lights racing above when I was rushed into theatre for an emergency C section with my daughter. Similarly, I had a miscarriage between my daughter and my son, so know how it feels. I'm told that it's like I'm having a conversation with the reader when I write, which is probably just as well because I can write about all the things I might bore my friends with! I can't thank you enough for your incredibly encouraging review. It has made my day for the last two! Alexis x

I truly enjoy reading your book Alexis, It is very hard to keep a romance novel from turning into another episode of guiding light or these are the days of our lives styled book. Though, many people have been hooked on that sort of thing, you bring a true artform to your work, which lifts it far above the normal vanity romance genre.

Oh give me strength and patience! Another cliff hanger...I'm doomed....this has got me climbing the walls...

This bloody book is going to fly off the shelves in book stores.......

If I get through waiting for the happy ending I may just celebrate with Champaign.....

Another fabulous chapter...grabed me by the throat and held on like the German Sheppard you are....soon you're gonna be number one....what animal is that???

Loved it, nothing but perfection.

If this book is on the shelves in Canada, you'll be standing right next to me at a book signing, Maureen, be assured of that! I am really happy being a German Shepherd, and still can't believe I've got that far up the list. 8 chapters to post, and 8 days till lent when I give up alcohol every year, so I better keep editing while I can use lubrication! Take care my friend, Alexis xxx
