Vive la France! I loved it Steve. Out of all the languages I can't speak, I like French the best, and I hope you won't be insulted when I say you did an excellent job. At least I enjoyed it very much. I like the way you get so much enjoyment out of your poetry. Au revoir... Giddy

Thank you, Giddy! Just a spur of the moment piece of silliness. If it raised a smile then it achieved its purpose.

si villain. je l'aime. mais seulement un homme avec mi.
so naughty. i like it. but only one man with me.
Review time!
You're quite funny. I really like the humor. It must of taken some thought and all. Delightful read. The irony of bi-lingual twist gets a bravo too. Well written. Good work.

I am not an expert reading or speaking French.
I guess this person had a good time with these women.
His fiance would be furious if she found out.
I liked what I could understand.

Yes I can see your French is not so good - maybe you could google menage a trois to find out what the fiancee really felt!
Thanks for the generous review.

This must be the reason I took 4 years of French as I haven't benefited from it in the past 25 years. This is hilarious and I so much enjoyed reading it1!! Debbie

Thanks for the notation Steve. Jackpeg had already read your poem by the time he reviewed mine and let's face it, it is quite amazing. Thi sone is chock a block full of not only French words but a great story line. You worked thsoe words in beautifully and I love the elevation in life that the concierge gives himself and if you hadn't worked in menage a trois, I would have been disappointed. The only little jar in this amazing piece for me, is the use of "pissed upon the piste" as they sound like the same word but it didn't touch my overall enjoyment of your delightful poem. It was definitely a laugh out loud piece and I loved it. xx Pix

You Aussies - pissed and piste sound very different to me!
Thanks for the kind words - I had menage a trois on my list and couldn't think of a rhyme for it for some time, but it was too good to leave out. I have had one reviewer who clearly didn't get it who said the fiancee would be very annoyed when he came home with this other woman!
Chher.
Enjoy the long weekend.

LOL. Are you serious Steve? Me thinks you have one very naive reviewer there my friend. The Kiwi accent is a constant amazement to me Steve and I never actually thought of it when I read that line. It was a great poem. xx Pix

Very cleverly done. This was just fun to read. It flowed well and had a great rhythm to it. Cute use of French phrases throughout. really great job.

First, regrets for not having a six. You are genius of a poet, what a clever write, full of wits, fun read--granted one will find these words in the dictionary, did you assemble these words to compose the wonderful poem or do you know French? Outstanding job, thanks for the delightful read.

Yes, I do know some French, albeit a bit rusty now. Howver I googled to get a list and then pruned it down to ones I thought would be better known.
Thanks for the kind review and the virtual six.

Bon jour, kiwisteveh...
This is very clever and I enjoyed the read very much. I got a few good chuckles from this one. Edith Piaff, the French chanteuse, would have enjoyed it. LOL. Thanks for this fun share.

Merci beaucoup, Rebecca. Non, je ne regrette rien as La Petite Piaf would sing.

Oh why did I choose to review this? It's too hot to roll around on the floor laughing ... and I'm scaring my cat!
I've been tossing around in my mind the thought of writing an ode in praise of cliches. But to compose nine rhyming quatrains in regular (more or less) meter based on French phrases used in English ... this boggles the mind.
I bow to the master, and await the next tour de force with bated breath.

Thank you so much, Julia. I have a mental image of you laughing so much you scared the cat!
Cliches poem sounds like a good idea... I'd say give it a go.

I haven't read Bluepixel's French Connection Quatern yet, but for now, I'll settle for yours. Terrific use of the French expressions, some of which I'll have to look up. I have a friend who speaks a little French. I show her both yours and B.P.'s. Ver-r-ry nifty.
