Kathryn, Hugs are so appreciated during this time of isolation with the outside world. I am grateful for FanStory and the folks I can share with here. Your review makes me smile.

I'm so sorry that you find yourself in this situation, but I'm glad that your faith allows you to believe you'll be with your husband again. You tell the story well, taking your reader through the steps of your discovery of your husband's cancer to your current state. I wish the two of you all the happiness you can muster.

Well said, though sad, and all encompassing ... the hurt and sorrow must be and that is what came through in this very poignant, yet uplifting piece. The knowledge of knowing you will be together again is a very comforting thought no doubt. The poem is smooth, crisp, and written well. No errors to note and the presentation is flawless to boot. Good luck in the contest.

I am so sorry you are having to experience this but I am
so glad the two of you are people of faith as I really
don't know how people who don't have that get through times
like this -- it is only in the knowing I will one day rejoin my loved ones who have already passed on before me and that I will get to meet Jesus in person that I am able to continue in this life
thanks for sharing
Godspeed to you
good luck in the contest
love,
jan

Dear Author; It is a sad day when anyone hears the word 'cancer'and it has to do with themselves or a loved one. The poem is written with great care, and the reader goes on the journey and can only pray with your husband. ~patty~

I am truly sorry for the distress that you and your husband are going through now. Cancer is a terrible thing. I admire your courage in writing this moving poem, and you both have my best wishes.

As someone who's had chemo & been diagnosed with three different Cancers (the first when I was nineteen & that's when i had chemo)...i can understand it's not worth the time it buys. It's better to live shorter life happy than longer in pain. Good luck to you guys. This was very beautiful despite the subject matter and uplifting also. When I was going through this I was glad it was me & not my wife/mom/sister cause ...I think as hard as it is...it's harder to watch someone you love go through it. Your words are inspiring though and you have the right attitude. be strong & good luck.

Wow, thank you for wise comments that only someone who has been there could have made. I am glad you have survived three different cancers. That is incredible. Blessings to you in your future too. Thanks for this awesome review and rating.

this is very well written with good form and good flow, a great job writing this poem of praise and belief, even in a time of trial. i am glad you put the bible scripture there, i wish you the best of luck in the contest, and i pray for comfort and rest for both of you

I have to give this a six. The flow was smooth and the story is sad but sweet. I love the hope you share in the lines. Yes you both will retire together one day after all. Thank you for writing this.
