The picture is very nice.I like this poem. I think the 6th line could flow better and you repeated the rhyming towards the end. It is very sweet but doesn't really show the angst of a mother separated from her child. Lighthearted, enjoyable.

This is just precious and I hope this is a gift to your child. This should be embroidered and placed somewhere for safekeeping for her to look at later on and see how much she's loved. Heirloom poetry. It's lovely and the artwork of the little girl says it all. Well done, dejohnsrld. My daughter hasn't seen her father in 36 years. Not because he wasn't allowed but by choice. He had many excuses. Continue to love your baby.

Great rhyming couplets in this beautiful and heartfelt poem..And the imagery is crystal clear of the joy on seeing the much loved child.... The last couplets sums it up perfectly...Bravo..couldn't fault it...Dodey.
