Nicely done ode to the changing seasons. I very much enjoyed it as fall can not come soon enough for me this year. GOod luck.

I was asked to write more, but you know, I felt as though I'd said everything in a couple of short lines.
The undulating rhythm and use of good language throughout, made this an exceptional poem - and I was privileged to read it.
How about that, for a nice expansion?

Hey, not sure if I'm reading this right but I believe it should be winter's effect instead of affect. Nice entry. Good luck in the contest.
Best wishes,
Rita

The dreaded Canadian winter lies ahead of me. Each year ant this time, I want to dig a hole, climb in and hibernate until spring... your autumn poem was well written and stirred up thoughts of the coming season! Good luck in the contest... hugs and sweet thoughts, Jack xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I love your description of autumn, especially the
first two lines. This piece is very well written
and should do great in the contest.

What a great Tanka poem. I like how you describe the changes from autumn to winter. Beautifully written with such a strong and wonderful feeling of nature.

I think the idea of "leaves fall like tears" is very fresh and original. Great Tanka, it has a melancholic touch, as Fall truthful is. Best wishes in the contest.

I like this tanka.....
Love all the imagery...
(leaves fall like tears).... (through branches bared)....
(bent like arms)......
my favorite: waving a rainbow of hope......
That's a great hope.... There is always an incoming season... Love it! Bryan
