A great tribute to Rusty. Too bad he had to die that way but accidents happen all too often, at least you got to spend some wonderful years with him.. Good one, Buck

Hi there, yes, I try to look at it that way...but none of our current horses compare...seems there are just certain things, that only come along once in your lifetime...so...thank you very much for reading this, and your great review Buck!!! I really appreciate it...Susan

Realist101,
You did a wonderful job with the challenge that you were given. Perfectly arranged & formatted. Good flowing. Understandable.
I did locate two small errors. Nothing to worry about at all. It will be a quick fix.
Tiny (fireflys) stealing the scene...
**fireflies
And travel (Heaven's) miles, of gorgeous, green, grassy
**heaven's
Everything else was clean. Comprehensible and very professionally written.
I look forward to seeing you again.
Love you,
Oatmeal

Nice job. It's easy to feel the emotion, though I am not a horse person. Some of the rhymes and rhythms are a bit off, though -- last line, for example, seems a bit too long. But other lines are touching and almost perfect, such as 'Sunshine, moonlight, off we wold go again/ Nature's gifts round every bend'.

Realist101,
Your poem made me sad:( It is such a well written poem and it holds such love for your Rusty! Oh, he died so unexpectedly and tragically! I am so sorry!
This is my favorite part of your poem:
"For years and years, we were best friends,
Together through thick and thin...
Sunshine, moonlight, off we would go again,
Nature's gifts 'round every bend..."

Susan,
You are so welcome. I was wondering when I was reading your poem how old you were when it happened. Thank you for being such a good 'Fanfriend'

I had an old gray gelding named Slade. We rode a lot of miles together. He was one of the greatest joys in my life. I know exactly how you feel. I miss him still and he's been gone about 15 years. A very lovely tribute to your wonderful horse buddy. Darlene

Oh dear, thank you Darlene, it is real nice to hear from another horse lover/owner...Slade is a neat name, and grays are the BEST color of horses to paint...if you have time, let me know more about him...sure wish you and I were out riding...but thank you very much for your wonderful rating and nice review...Take care!!! G'day Realist
Neat, heartfelt little poem that works well. My only real query is about the fireflies in l4. Why didn't you have them 'lighting the scene' instead of 'stealing the scene' ?
Cheers

To Realist101,
A very sad and upsetting turn of events for this poem as a young girl mourns for the loss of her horse but pays a special tribute to it.

Hi Charlene, what a nice review...thank you so very much. I am now 55 tho, lol...but it seems like this happened just yesterday. I still sometimes cry a little, thinking of this. I was able, after all this time, to finally put my feelings into words...thank you again, I hope you are keeping warm, where you are... :) Susan
