This is a excellent chapter. Very well written throughout. I love your descriptions, they are very powerful. They make me feel what the main character is going through.

Smurphgirl - A very angst filled story. I can feel it through your descriptions. Well written.

Here are some suggestions:

She was convinced, getting caught, taught (him) a lesson.

I stayed (in) my room all day and avoided my family as much as possible.

However, the nightmares persisted and the very real fear that I was losing my mind() pushed me into a deep depression.

The only errors I found were surprisingly in the Author Notes. The o(n) and off relationship between Valerie's Mom and Dad pushes her int(o) a deep depression.
However, that doesn't count so again, the high star count. You are also right about one thing. It will get worse before it hopefully gets better.
