Such nice sentiment. I can feel the emotion and love you have for your kids easily here. The poem flows well, and makes good use of language. I gave it a 4 b/c i'd like to see specific examples of how the kids embody those assets (show don;t tell kind of stuff).

I am never bothered by anyone who brags about their children. (I'm one of the worst offenders.) I hold them in high esteem. Their values are in the right place. Great poem.

I have to give to you, Sue, poetic format allows you to write the best pieces.

Another great one from your pen. I can feel the love you have for your children in this poem.

You are blessed to have such wonderful children. They are products of their environment; you raised them well.

Good job on your poem and your motherhood skills.

You're quite brave to attempt to fulfill this poetry contest's requirements! You did a grand job of using your chosen of the required words. Your poem has a lovely message and the sentiment is most evident. A very good contest entry. mslyla

The kind of family I had always dreamed of as a child. You are so blessed to have children like that. My next door neighbor has one that ran away 2 years ago not seen over there since. Another in a year long heroin rehab. One older son just gone and a younger one on the way. Tells me to f__k off. I blame the father he has not attempted that I can see to teach any respect for others. And the police are there a lot 6 times in a month! You are very blessed. joan marie

Hey Sixteezkid,

Come on! You're not proud of your kids, are you!! lol They sound like a great bunch of kids & I'm sure they're just as happy to have you as their mom.

Thank you for sharing this happy poem with us! Too bad you couldn't have entered it in that contest also.

smiles,

deb

Wow, there were a lot of constraints to constructing this poetic format. For a relative newcomer, you did great! And what a lovely tribute to your children. Their attributes and giving ways are a compliment to their upbringing. Thank you for such an uplifting writing. LadyMary

Sounds like you've done a great job, your family is fantastic! What a great tribute you've written for them, I hope you share it. The fourteener contest sounded too hard to me! You've done this so well!

This work has reached the exceptional level

So proud am I of all my loving children with big hearts
Their kindness to humanity; a sum of all their parts

With gentleness, they hold each other up when times get tough
Mom loves them. They're so generous. Can't brag of them enough!

what is lambic Heptameter?

I like this very much and when I read it I could just feel the love you have for your children
