This is a very good poem about a watchman's responsibility as well as you in your note has how the Lord gave instructions to the Watchman.
I would compare them to today's policemen.
Your poem is rhyming and I like the picture. The time period reminds me of the book I read by William Hogarth.
Congratulations on being Recognized and good luck with your poem.

Thank you for your many kind words about the content and message of this poem. The Lord chose the Watchman, and gave him clear instructions on how to stand for the people. It was true for Israel, and it's true for us now.

Hi, Robert,
Thanks for sharing this poem that paints a clear and vivid picture of Ezekial as the Watchman.
That he kept Israel safe through turbulent times, saving the people from certain doom by guiding them away from the sword lest the sword take them.
Beautifully done

Of course the watchman in the Christian sense is watching out for the wiles of our mortal enemy, so the walls are different he goes around like a roaring lion to see who he can devour. This is beautifully written Robert, well done, blessings Roy

Hey Ric.
Thank you for coming by to talk to me. I'm spending very little time here this time around. I had to spend a week in the hospital last week, but other than that, I'm doing fine. It's always great to hear from you.

Sorry to hear you've been in the hospital, but I'm glad to learn it's in past tense. Hope you are feeling much better and the problems are behind you! Ric

I think it's a great tribute to the overlooked and under appreciated guardians of the faith and the faithful. We take so many of these people for granted, in our day to day struggle to survive the rat race. estory

Your verse, Robert, is well metered and rhymed, informing us of the vigilant presence that watches over us, keeping us and the world safe. The visual is a rather haunting one, evoking an otherworldly sense that there is so much more than just our earthly preoccupations. Well done, Robert, on this enjoyable and informative read! Warm wishes Debbie

Hi Debi.
I'm so grateful for your encouraging words on this poem's content and style. AI-generated graphics for my poems have really grabbed my attention. Though it can be time-consuming, I think it's usually worth it. The Watchmen narrative has relevance to both Old and New Testaments. Thanks for reading and your thoughtful feedback.
